Our Barehands x Mary Bernadette Lee
Home:A 2-year Anniversary Special
Commissioned by Our Barehands for their 2nd year anniversary special, Mary Bernadette Lee worked together with the team from Our Barehands, and their lead artisan refugee, Mr JS to co-create two designs for their linen apparels.
The design was anchored on our interpretation of what Home means to us.
Mary conducted a virtual drawing workshop over zoom with the team from Our Barehands and Mr JS & family. She brought them through several exercises that enables them to move seamlessly from ideation to visualisation. Some of the processes includes mind mapping, simple-line drawing and sharing.
The various drawings and mind maps were collected by Mary, and she worked them into the designs. Based on her findings and analysis, she categorised the collective sentiments into two camps; a sense of Feeling, and People.
